Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Overlapping Figures by Camille Henrot was sold in the Contemporary Passions auction at Sothebys in Cologne in November 2021. The price achieved of EUR 18,900.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Camille Henrot - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Big Fish Small Fish, which sold at auction in September 2018 for USD 47,500.00 (€ 40,870.76).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Overlapping Figures von Camille Henrot wurde im November 2021 in der Auktion Contemporary Passions bei Sothebys in Köln versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 18.900,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Camille Henrot mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Big Fish Small Fish beobachtet, die im September 2018 für USD 47.500,00 (€ 40.870,76) versteigert wurde.
