In November 2011 a collector was able to acquire the work Bambina by Cagnaccio di San Pietro for EUR 6,875.00. This price was achieved in the auction Arte Moderna e Contemporanea & Identita’ Italiana un’Importante Collezione Privata at Sothebys in Milan and was even below the estimate range of EUR 8,000.00 – 12,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cagnaccio di San Pietro achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nudo in riva al mare / La rosa del mare in November 2021 with an auction result of EUR 130,000.00.
