Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Andy Warhol with Edie Sedgwick and Chuck Wein, New York by Burt Glinn was sold in the Photographs auction at Phillips in London in May 2009. It changed hands for a price of GBP 4,375.00 (€ 5,004.96) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 3,500.00 – 4,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Burt Glinn - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Maria Callas, La Scala, Italie, 1955, which sold at auction in September 2017 for EUR 11,250.00.

Die Arbeit Andy Warhol with Edie Sedgwick and Chuck Wein, New York von Burt Glinn wurde im Mai 2009 in der Auktion Photographs bei Phillips in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 4.375,00 (€ 5.004,96) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.500,00 – 4.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Burt Glinn mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Maria Callas, La Scala, Italie, 1955 beobachtet, die im September 2017 für EUR 11.250,00 versteigert wurde.
