The work Sulitnya by Budi Kustarto was worth HKD 96,000.00 (€ 9,141.16) to a buyer in May 2007. This price was achieved in the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art at Christies in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 30,000.00 many times over. Admittedly, works by Budi Kustarto have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Tricycle Ice Cream (Construction Series) in April 2008 with an auction result of HKD 847,500.00 (€ 69,844.71).

Die Arbeit Sulitnya von Budi Kustarto war einem Käufer im Mai 2007 HKD 96.000,00 (€ 9.141,16) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 30.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Budi Kustarto auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Tricycle Ice Cream (Construction Series) im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 847.500,00 (€ 69.844,71).
