This artwork by Budi Kustarto achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2008. In the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings auction, the work Kepadamu Aku sold for HKD 271,500.00 (€ 22,375.03) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 125,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Budi Kustarto - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Tricycle Ice Cream (Construction Series), which sold at auction in April 2008 for HKD 847,500.00 (€ 69,844.71).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Budi Kustarto erzielte im April 2008 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings wurde die Arbeit Kepadamu Aku für HKD 271.500,00 (€ 22.375,03) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 125.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Budi Kustarto mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Tricycle Ice Cream (Construction Series) beobachtet, die im April 2008 für HKD 847.500,00 (€ 69.844,71) versteigert wurde.
