Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2011 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings, which included the work Pain On Bananas - Garden by Budi Kustarto. The price achieved of HKD 125,000.00 (€ 11,543.70) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 95,000.00 – 150,000.00. Admittedly, works by Budi Kustarto have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Tricycle Ice Cream (Construction Series) in April 2008 with an auction result of HKD 847,500.00 (€ 69,844.71).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2011 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Pain On Bananas - Garden von Budi Kustarto zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 125.000,00 (€ 11.543,70) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 95.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Budi Kustarto auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Tricycle Ice Cream (Construction Series) im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 847.500,00 (€ 69.844,71).
