Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2006 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art, which included the work Depan/Belakang (Front/Back) by Budi Kustarto. The price achieved of HKD 26,400.00 (€ 2,560.17) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Budi Kustarto achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tricycle Ice Cream (Construction Series) in April 2008 with an auction result of HKD 847,500.00 (€ 69,844.71).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2006 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Depan/Belakang (Front/Back) von Budi Kustarto zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 26.400,00 (€ 2.560,17) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Budi Kustarto erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tricycle Ice Cream (Construction Series) im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 847.500,00 (€ 69.844,71).
