Auction result misses estimated price range
In July this year a collector was able to acquire the work 1951 Chevrolet Styleline Deluxe, Main Street, Binghamton, New York (from 'Dinosaurs and Dreamboats') by Bruce Wrighton for USD 1,920.00 (€ 1,742.29). This price was achieved in the auction Photographs Now The Collector's Edition at Bonhams in London and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,500.00 – 3,500.00 set by the auction house. Other works by Bruce Wrighton have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in July this year by the work 1953 Nash Rambler, Wilber's Jewelers, Johnson City, New York (from 'Dinosaurs and Dreamboats') at USD 3,200.00 (€ 2,903.81).
