Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work 1950 Studebaker Champion, Danny's Diner, Binghamton, New York, from 'Dinosaurs and Dreamboats' by Bruce Wrighton was auctioned at Bonhams in London in July this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 2,500.00 – 3,500.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 1,920.00 (€ 1,742.29). Other works by Bruce Wrighton have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in July this year by the work 1953 Nash Rambler, Wilber's Jewelers, Johnson City, New York (from 'Dinosaurs and Dreamboats') at USD 3,200.00 (€ 2,903.81).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit 1950 Studebaker Champion, Danny's Diner, Binghamton, New York, from 'Dinosaurs and Dreamboats' von Bruce Wrighton im Juli diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus.
