Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled, from: Fingers and Holes by Bruce Nauman was sold in the Prints & Multiples: First Impression auction at Christies in London in April 2015. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,776.38) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bruce Nauman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Life, Death, Love, Hate, Pleasure, Pain in May 2021 with an auction result of USD 8,996,400.00 (€ 7,377,726.75).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled, from: Fingers and Holes von Bruce Nauman wurde im April 2015 in der Auktion Prints & Multiples: First Impression bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.750,00 (€ 3.776,38) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bruce Nauman erzielen.
