Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Bruce McLean could be acquired at Christies in Amsterdam in April 2015 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Post-War and Contemporary auction, the work Composition changed hands for EUR 1,875.00 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Bruce McLean - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Two Handbags, Two Ladders, which sold at auction in October 2007 for GBP 4,000.00 (€ 5,744.26).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Bruce McLean konnte im April 2015 bei Christies in Amsterdam für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary wechselte die Arbeit Composition für EUR 1.875,00 den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 3.000,00 – 4.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Bruce McLean mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Two Handbags, Two Ladders beobachtet, die im Oktober 2007 für GBP 4.000,00 (€ 5.744,26) versteigert wurde.
