In March 2007 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Paintings, which included the work The Twilight Hour (Edge Of The Village) by Bruce Crane. The »bidding war« ended at USD 12,000.00 (€ 8,972.63), 50% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Bruce Crane - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work After the Rain, which sold at auction in March 2008 for USD 51,400.00 (€ 32,521.35).

Im März 2007 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Twilight Hour (Edge Of The Village) von Bruce Crane zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 12.000,00 (€ 8.972,63) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Bruce Crane mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit After the Rain beobachtet, die im März 2008 für USD 51.400,00 (€ 32.521,35) versteigert wurde.
