Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Inkblot Drawings #6 by Bruce Conner was sold in the First Open | Post-War & Contemporary Art auction at Christies in New York in December 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 3,500.00 (€ 2,911.33) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bruce Conner achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Cannabis Collage in November 2016 with an auction result of USD 631,500.00 (€ 596,993.76).
