Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

Here, the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 5,250.00 (€ 6,151.10). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Brian J. Jones - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Storming the Cowes Roads, 1930: Astra leading with Westward, Candida, Britannia and Lulworth behind, which sold at auction in October 2008 for GBP 10,625.00 (€ 13,543.06).

Die Arbeit The 19-metre class yachts Norada, Wendula and Mariquita racing at Cowes, 1913 von Brian J. Jones wurde im Mai 2010 in der Auktion Maritime Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 5.250,00 (€ 6.151,10) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Brian J.
