In May 2010 Christies in London held the auction Maritime Art, which included the work Shamrock (V) tacking across the bow of Velsheda at Cowes Week, 1933 by Brian J. Jones. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 3,250.00 (€ 3,807.83), 30% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Brian J. Jones - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Storming the Cowes Roads, 1930: Astra leading with Westward, Candida, Britannia and Lulworth behind, which sold at auction in October 2008 for GBP 10,625.00 (€ 13,543.06).

Im Mai 2010 führte Christies in London die Auktion Maritime Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Shamrock (V) tacking across the bow of Velsheda at Cowes Week, 1933 von Brian J. Jones zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 3.250,00 (€ 3.807,83) und damit 30% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Brian J. Jones mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Storming the Cowes Roads, 1930: Astra leading with Westward, Candida, Britannia and Lulworth behind beobachtet, die im Oktober 2008 für GBP 10.625,00 (€ 13.543,06) versteigert wurde.
