Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Blek le Rat achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in October 2020. In the First Open: Post-War & Contemporary Art Online auction, the work Man Who Walks Through Walls sold for GBP 40,000.00 (€ 44,416.59) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 18,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Blek le Rat; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot The Last Tango À Paris - 2016 sold at auction in November 2019 with the realized price of EUR 49,400.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Blek le Rat erzielte im Oktober 2020 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion First Open: Post-War & Contemporary Art Online wurde die Arbeit Man Who Walks Through Walls für GBP 40.000,00 (€ 44.416,59) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 18.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Blek le Rat; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit The Last Tango À Paris - 2016 im November 2019 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 49.400,00.
