Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In July 2020 Sothebys in New York held the auction From Coast to Coast: Property from a Private Florida Collection, which included the work The Great Peak, Pike'S Peak From The North by Birger Sandzén. Here, the upper estimate of USD 25,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 27,500.00 (€ 23,356.55). Admittedly, works by Birger Sandzén have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Moonrise Among The Red Rocks in November 2012 with an auction result of USD 158,500.00 (€ 121,829.36).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juli 2020 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion From Coast to Coast: Property from a Private Florida Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Great Peak, Pike'S Peak From The North von Birger Sandzén zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 25.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 27.500,00 (€ 23.356,55) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Birger Sandzén auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Moonrise Among The Red Rocks im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 158.500,00 (€ 121.829,36).
