It achieved a price of USD 69,300.00 (€ 63,823.91), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 39%. Admittedly, works by Bill Traylor have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Man on White, Woman on Red / Man with Black Dog, double sided, 1939-1942 in January 2020 with an auction result of USD 507,000.00 (€ 457,044.98).

Die Arbeit Brown Pig von Bill Traylor wurde im Januar diesen Jahres in der Auktion Outsider and Vernacular Art bei Christies versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 69.300,00 (€ 63.823,91) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 39%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Bill Traylor auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Man on White, Woman on Red / Man with Black Dog, double sided, 1939-1942 im Januar 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 507.000,00 (€ 457.044,98).
