The »bidding war« ended at GBP 7,200.00 (€ 10,684.44), 44% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Bill Jacklin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Black Umbrella, Times Square III, which sold at auction in December 2011 for GBP 32,450.00 (€ 38,863.46).
