Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Bill Jacklin could be acquired at Sothebys in Olympia in June 2007 for an unexpectedly low price. In the 20th Century British & Irish Art auction, the work Girl Bending, Sheep Meadow changed hands for GBP 1,140.00 (€ 1,691.70) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bill Jacklin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Black Umbrella, Times Square III in December 2011 with an auction result of GBP 32,450.00 (€ 38,863.46).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Bill Jacklin konnte im Juni 2007 bei Sothebys in Olympia für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion 20th Century British & Irish Art wechselte die Arbeit Girl Bending, Sheep Meadow für GBP 1.140,00 (€ 1.691,70) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bill Jacklin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Black Umbrella, Times Square III im Dezember 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 32.450,00 (€ 38.863,46).
