Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Nude, Vasterival Beach, Normandy by Bill Brandt was sold in the Photographs auction at Phillips in New York in October 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 3,024.00 (€ 2,617.73) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bill Brandt achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'Van Gogh'S Room In The Asylum Of St. Paul-De-Mausole (St. Rémy)' in April 2008 with an auction result of USD 265,000.00 (€ 170,220.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Nude, Vasterival Beach, Normandy von Bill Brandt wurde im Oktober 2021 in der Auktion Photographs bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 3.024,00 (€ 2.617,73) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bill Brandt erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 'Van Gogh'S Room In The Asylum Of St. Paul-De-Mausole (St. Rémy)' im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 265.000,00 (€ 170.220,97).
