Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2016 Sothebys in London held the auction Made in Britain, which included the work Bermondsey Policeman, C. 1930-39 Alley Off East India Dock Road, London, C. 1930-39 by Bill Brandt. It changed hands for a price of GBP 2,875.00 (€ 3,629.97) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bill Brandt achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'Van Gogh'S Room In The Asylum Of St. Paul-De-Mausole (St. Rémy)' in April 2008 with an auction result of USD 265,000.00 (€ 170,220.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2016 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Made in Britain durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bermondsey Policeman, C. 1930-39 Alley Off East India Dock Road, London, C. 1930-39 von Bill Brandt zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 2.875,00 (€ 3.629,97) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bill Brandt erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 'Van Gogh'S Room In The Asylum Of St. Paul-De-Mausole (St. Rémy)' im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 265.000,00 (€ 170.220,97).
