A top price for Bicci di Lorenzo - as previously expected
The work The Nativity by Bicci di Lorenzo was sold in the Old Masters Evening Sale auction at Sothebys in London in December 2016. The price achieved of GBP 368,750.00 (€ 431,128.58) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 300,000.00 – 500,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, The Nativity is the most expensive artwork by Bicci di Lorenzo that we have observed at auctions so far.
