Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2009 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master & British Paintings Evening Sale, which included the work The Crucifixion by Bicci di Lorenzo. The price achieved of GBP 49,250.00 (€ 55,555.73) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Bicci di Lorenzo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Nativity in December 2016 with an auction result of GBP 368,750.00 (€ 431,128.58).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2009 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master & British Paintings Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Crucifixion von Bicci di Lorenzo zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 49.250,00 (€ 55.555,73) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Bicci di Lorenzo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Nativity im Dezember 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 368.750,00 (€ 431.128,58).
