In December 2008 Christies in London held the auction Post War & Contemporary Art, which included the work Sculpture II by Berto Lardera. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 16,250.00 (€ 17,067.23), 35% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Berto Lardera have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sans Titre - 1952 in December 2020 with an auction result of EUR 97,560.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 35 % übertroffen
Im Dezember 2008 führte Christies in London die Auktion Post War & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sculpture II von Berto Lardera zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 16.250,00 (€ 17.067,23) und damit 35% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Berto Lardera auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sans Titre - 1952 im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 97.560,00.
