Auction result well in line with expectations
The work On the river by Berthe des Clayes was auctioned at Christies in London in October 2001. The price achieved of GBP 470.00 (€ 759.59) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Berthe des Clayes achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Among The Poppies; Among The Delphiniums in May 2011 with an auction result of CAD 20,400.00 (€ 14,647.25).
