Auction result well in line with expectations
The work March Afternoon by Berthe des Clayes was auctioned at Sothebys in Toronto in November 2010. The price achieved of CAD 6,000.00 (€ 4,482.97) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as CAD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Berthe des Clayes - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Among The Poppies; Among The Delphiniums, which sold at auction in May 2011 for CAD 20,400.00 (€ 14,647.25).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit March Afternoon von Berthe des Clayes kam im November 2010 bei Sothebys in Toronto zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von CAD 6.000,00 (€ 4.482,97) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit CAD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Berthe des Clayes mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Among The Poppies; Among The Delphiniums beobachtet, die im Mai 2011 für CAD 20.400,00 (€ 14.647,25) versteigert wurde.
