Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Capriccio with Roman monuments,... by Bernardo Bellotto was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2021. The price achieved of GBP 300,000.00 (€ 351,812.20) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 250,000.00 – 350,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bernardo Bellotto achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work View of Verona with the Ponte delle Navi in July 2021 with an auction result of GBP 10,575,000.00 (€ 12,401,380.23).
