This artwork by Bernard Picart achieved an unexpectedly high price at Artcurial in Paris in February 2015. In the Old Master & 19th Century Paintings and Drawings, Sculptures, Miniatures auction, the work Le Jeu De La Seringue sold for EUR 1,706.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 800.00. Admittedly, works by Bernard Picart have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work An Allegorical Frontispiece, Perhaps A Reflection On Human Frailty in July 2013 with an auction result of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 7,855.89).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Bernard Picart erzielte im Februar 2015 bei Artcurial in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Master & 19th Century Paintings and Drawings, Sculptures, Miniatures wurde die Arbeit Le Jeu De La Seringue für EUR 1.706,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 800,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Bernard Picart auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit An Allegorical Frontispiece, Perhaps A Reflection On Human Frailty im Juli 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 6.875,00 (€ 7.855,89).
