However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Bernard Picart - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work An Allegorical Frontispiece, Perhaps A Reflection On Human Frailty, which sold at auction in July 2013 for GBP 6,875.00 (€ 7,855.89).

Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 3.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 3.250,00 (€ 2.246,34) einen neuen Besitzer.
