Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Morning Sitting by Bernard Dunstan was sold in the Modern British and Irish Art auction at Bonhams in March this year. The price achieved of GBP 3,570.00 (€ 4,061.56) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Bernard Dunstan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Interior, Morning (Triptych) two 106.5 x 45.5cm (41 15/16 x 17 15/16in); the third 106.5 x 91cm (41 15/16 x 35 13/16in) in April last year with an auction result of GBP 20,400.00 (€ 24,326.28).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Morning Sitting von Bernard Dunstan wurde im März diesen Jahres in der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art bei Bonhams versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.570,00 (€ 4.061,56) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Bernard Dunstan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Interior, Morning (Triptych) two 106.5 x 45.5cm (41 15/16 x 17 15/16in); the third 106.5 x 91cm (41 15/16 x 35 13/16in) im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 20.400,00 (€ 24.326,28).
