This artwork by Bernard Dunstan achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in March this year. In the Modern British and Irish Art auction, the work Girl Dressing sold for GBP 5,737.50 (€ 6,527.51) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Bernard Dunstan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Interior, Morning (Triptych) two 106.5 x 45.5cm (41 15/16 x 17 15/16in); the third 106.5 x 91cm (41 15/16 x 35 13/16in), which sold at auction in April last year for GBP 20,400.00 (€ 24,326.28).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 91 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Bernard Dunstan erzielte im März diesen Jahres bei Bonhams einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art wurde die Arbeit Girl Dressing für GBP 5.737,50 (€ 6.527,51) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Bernard Dunstan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Interior, Morning (Triptych) two 106.5 x 45.5cm (41 15/16 x 17 15/16in); the third 106.5 x 91cm (41 15/16 x 35 13/16in) beobachtet, die im April letzten Jahres für GBP 20.400,00 (€ 24.326,28) versteigert wurde.
