Auction result well in line with expectations
In March this year Bonhams held the auction Modern British and Irish Art, which included the work Nude In Bathroom by Bernard Dunstan. The price achieved of GBP 1,083.75 (€ 1,232.97) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bernard Dunstan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Interior, Morning (Triptych) two 106.5 x 45.5cm (41 15/16 x 17 15/16in); the third 106.5 x 91cm (41 15/16 x 35 13/16in) in April last year with an auction result of GBP 20,400.00 (€ 24,326.28).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Modern British and Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Nude In Bathroom von Bernard Dunstan zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.083,75 (€ 1.232,97) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bernard Dunstan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Interior, Morning (Triptych) two 106.5 x 45.5cm (41 15/16 x 17 15/16in); the third 106.5 x 91cm (41 15/16 x 35 13/16in) im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 20.400,00 (€ 24.326,28).
