Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Dressing - The Black Vest by Bernard Dunstan was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in July this year. The price achieved of GBP 960.00 (€ 1,120.03) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bernard Dunstan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Interior, Morning (Triptych) two 106.5 x 45.5cm (41 15/16 x 17 15/16in); the third 106.5 x 91cm (41 15/16 x 35 13/16in) in April last year with an auction result of GBP 20,400.00 (€ 24,326.28).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 960,00 (€ 1.120,03) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bernard Dunstan erzielen.
