Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2021 Bonhams in London held the auction British and European Art, including works from L'École de Paris, The Jewish Artists, which included the work Mother soothing her child by Bernard de Hoog. The price achieved of GBP 1,275.00 (€ 1,496.97) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bernard de Hoog achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The bliss of motherhood in April 2007 with an auction result of EUR 45,600.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2021 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion British and European Art, including works from L'École de Paris, The Jewish Artists durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mother soothing her child von Bernard de Hoog zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.275,00 (€ 1.496,97) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bernard de Hoog erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The bliss of motherhood im April 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 45.600,00.
