Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2017 a collector was able to acquire the work Black & White by Bernard Cohen for GBP 9,375.00 (€ 10,642.02). This price was achieved in the auction Modern & Post-War British Art at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Bernard Cohen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Grey Place, which sold at auction in June 2017 for GBP 32,500.00 (€ 37,011.44).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2017 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Black & White von Bernard Cohen für GBP 9.375,00 (€ 10.642,02) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern & Post-War British Art bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Bernard Cohen mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Grey Place beobachtet, die im Juni 2017 für GBP 32.500,00 (€ 37.011,44) versteigert wurde.
