Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2010 Christies in Milan held the auction Old Master Pictures, which included the work Madonna col Bambino e santi by Benvenuto Tisi Garofalo. The price achieved of EUR 126,800.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 110,000.00 – 150,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Benvenuto Tisi Garofalo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Saint Jerome in the Wilderness, which sold at auction in December 2010 for GBP 265,250.00 (€ 307,689.20).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2010 führte Christies in Mailand die Auktion Old Master Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Madonna col Bambino e santi von Benvenuto Tisi Garofalo zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 126.800,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 110.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Benvenuto Tisi Garofalo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Saint Jerome in the Wilderness beobachtet, die im Dezember 2010 für GBP 265.250,00 (€ 307.689,20) versteigert wurde.
