The price achieved of GBP 265,250.00 (€ 307,689.20) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Saint Jerome in the Wilderness is the most expensive artwork by Benvenuto Tisi Garofalo that we have observed at auctions so far.
