Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of USD 56,762.50 (€ 45,585.05) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Admittedly, works by Benvenuto Tisi Garofalo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Saint Jerome in the Wilderness in December 2010 with an auction result of GBP 265,250.00 (€ 307,689.20).
