Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Benny Andrews could be acquired at Christies in New York in January 2013 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work The Pride Of Flesh changed hands for USD 6,875.00 (€ 5,061.10) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 7,000.00 – 9,000.00. Other works by Benny Andrews have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in May last year by the work The Bath at USD 9,450.00 (€ 8,806.26).
