Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Benny Andrews could be acquired at Bonhams in May this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Prints & Photographs | Bonhams Skinner auction, the work Boat (Circle Study) changed hands for USD 318.75 (€ 299.18) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 400.00 – 600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Benny Andrews achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Bath in May last year with an auction result of USD 9,450.00 (€ 8,806.26).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Benny Andrews konnte im Mai diesen Jahres bei Bonhams für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Prints & Photographs | Bonhams Skinner wechselte die Arbeit Boat (Circle Study) für USD 318,75 (€ 299,18) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 400,00 – 600,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Benny Andrews erzielen.
