In September 2004 Christies in New York held the auction Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture, which included the work Summer Blossoms by Benjamin Champney. Here, the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 7,767.50 (€ 6,255.54). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Benjamin Champney - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Summer Showers, which sold at auction in October 2000 for USD 17,625.00 (€ 20,769.50).

Im September 2004 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Summer Blossoms von Benjamin Champney zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 7.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 7.767,50 (€ 6.255,54) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Benjamin Champney mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Summer Showers beobachtet, die im Oktober 2000 für USD 17.625,00 (€ 20.769,50) versteigert wurde.
