In the All That Is Glorious Around Us: Property from an Important American Collector auction, the work Ausable Chasm sold for USD 8,125.00 (€ 7,324.44) - well above the upper estimate of USD 3,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Benjamin Champney - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Summer Showers, which sold at auction in October 2000 for USD 17,625.00 (€ 20,769.50).
