The result of USD 25,000.00 (€ 17,020.70) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Benjamin Cañas - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Nightwatch of Dr. Kauffman, which sold at auction in November 2005 for USD 60,000.00 (€ 50,890.59).
