Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2008 Christies in Milan held the auction Old Master Pictures, which included the work Maddalena penitente by Benedetto Gennari. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 29,780.00 19% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Benedetto Gennari achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Diana And Endymion in July 2014 with an auction result of GBP 506,500.00 (€ 638,855.75).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2008 führte Christies in Mailand die Auktion Old Master Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Maddalena penitente von Benedetto Gennari zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 29.780,00 und damit 19% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Benedetto Gennari erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Diana And Endymion im Juli 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 506.500,00 (€ 638.855,75).
