Auction result well in line with expectations

The work Portrait Of A Clergyman, Half-Length, In Black Robes, Holding A Letter by Benedetto Gennari was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2013. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 11,250.00 (€ 13,532.01) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Benedetto Gennari achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Diana And Endymion in July 2014 with an auction result of GBP 506,500.00 (€ 638,855.75).

Die Arbeit Portrait Of A Clergyman, Half-Length, In Black Robes, Holding A Letter von Benedetto Gennari kam im Dezember 2013 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 11.250,00 (€ 13.532,01) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Benedetto Gennari erzielen.
