Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Tenement, from 21 Etchings and Poems by Ben Nicholson was sold in the Prints and Multiples auction at Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts in September this year. The price achieved of GBP 960.00 (€ 960.00) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ben Nicholson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work April 57 (Arbia 2) in November 2016 with an auction result of GBP 3,749,000.00 (€ 4,423,451.41).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Tenement, from 21 Etchings and Poems von Ben Nicholson wurde im September diesen Jahres in der Auktion Prints and Multiples bei Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 960,00 (€ 960,00) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ben Nicholson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit April 57 (Arbia 2) im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.749.000,00 (€ 4.423.451,41).
