Auction result well in line with expectations

In December 2011 Christies in London held the auction Old Master & British Paintings (Day Sale), which included the work Mrs. Orby Hunter's spaniels, Diver and Shuckleback, by the sea by Ben Marshall. The price achieved of GBP 51,650.00 (€ 61,858.17) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ben Marshall - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 'Bravura', an iron-grey filly, with James Robinson up, with her owner Sir Robert Keith Dick, Bt., her trainer mounted on a grey pony to the left, on Newmarket Heath, which sold at auction in July 2021 for GBP 200,000.00 (€ 234,541.47).

Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen

Im Dezember 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master & British Paintings (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mrs. Orby Hunter's spaniels, Diver and Shuckleback, by the sea von Ben Marshall zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 51.650,00 (€ 61.858,17) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden.
