Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2021 Sothebys in Paris held the auction In the Studio of Paolo Roversi, which included the work Henri Cartier Bresson, New York, 1946 by Beaumont Newhall. The price achieved of EUR 1,260.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Beaumont Newhall - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Henri Cartier-Bresson, 1946, which sold at auction in July 2018 for USD 4,375.00 (€ 3,737.40).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2021 führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion In the Studio of Paolo Roversi durch, in der auch die Arbeit Henri Cartier Bresson, New York, 1946 von Beaumont Newhall zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.260,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Beaumont Newhall mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Henri Cartier-Bresson, 1946 beobachtet, die im Juli 2018 für USD 4.375,00 (€ 3.737,40) versteigert wurde.
