Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Ansel Adams by Beaumont Newhall was sold in the BelovedPhotographs Online auction at Bonhams in New York in February 2020. The price achieved of USD 1,020.00 (€ 925.17) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 800.00 – 1,200.00. Admittedly, works by Beaumont Newhall have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Henri Cartier-Bresson, 1946 in July 2018 with an auction result of USD 4,375.00 (€ 3,737.40).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Ansel Adams von Beaumont Newhall wurde im Februar 2020 in der Auktion BelovedPhotographs Online bei Bonhams in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.020,00 (€ 925,17) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Beaumont Newhall auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Henri Cartier-Bresson, 1946 im Juli 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 4.375,00 (€ 3.737,40).
